Tiara Watch of the Day: June 4

The Dutch royal family hosted a dinner for Prince Albert II of Monaco, who is on a two day visit to the country.
Could Máxima have convinced Charlene to wear a tiara to a royal event?? Alas, the biggest burning question we had for this dinner will remain unanswered because Charlene stayed home. But if by any chance you were dying to know what tiara Kermit would pick if Kermit had a tiara to pick - well then, it's your lucky day. Emeralds, darling!
Máxima's gown is from Lanvin, and retails for $5,845.
I need a wand, fairy godmother style, so I can magically redistribute some of that shoulder fabric to the lower half of this Lanvin dress where the sizing just isn't quite right, and then some more over there on the side to cover up that terrible zipper detail. But other than that, I'm all for seeking out dresses intended for a particular tiara, and this looks like it was chosen specifically as an excuse to wear the family's emerald tiara (and emerald earrings, necklace, brooch at the waist, and bracelets, of course).
Also picking a tiara not usually on her roster is Princess Beatrix, who went for the Dutch Sapphire Necklace Tiara, to which I say YAY! Sure, you can barely see it, but any day with an outing of one of my very favorite sapphire tiaras is still a good day.
